Experiences & Evening

Saturday Experience — Pick One
British Countryside

Rob Ireland Activities, Moreton-in-Marsh. Combine clay shooting, quad biking, 4x4 off-road, and archery in one session. 3–4 hours. Just 10–15 min from the accommodation. BBQ lunch on-site.
Supercar Track Day
Castle Combe Circuit. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin on a legendary 1.85-mile racing circuit. 3–4 hours. ~50 min south of Cotswolds core — factor into accommodation choice.
Lisbon & Cascais
Supercar Track Day at Estoril
Former Formula 1 circuit. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin with professional instructors. Group events via First Driver. 3.5 hours. Just 15 min from a Cascais villa. Rotation-based — everyone drives.
Off-Road Buggy Tour, Sintra
Polaris RZR 570cc buggies on dirt trails through the UNESCO Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Forest roads, coastal viewpoints, Guincho Beach. 3 hours. Pairs per buggy, drivers rotate. Dusty, fun, loud.
Saturday Evening
Private Chef · Whisky Tasting · House Party
Private chef cooks a formal dinner at the manor. Long table, candles, seasonal British menu — beef Wellington, roasts, sticky toffee pudding. Wine pairing.
After dinner: curated whisky tasting — five drams in the drawing room. Cotswold Distillery is local and runs group experiences.
Then: music, cocktails, dancing. The house party runs as long as you want. Zero transit. The manor is the venue all night.
Boat Dinner Cruise → Lisbon Night Out
Board a private catamaran at Cascais Marina. Dinner catered on board — Portuguese seafood, wine, music. The boat is both the dinner and the transit to the city.
Sail toward Lisbon as the sun sets. Past Torre de Belém, under the 25 de Abril Bridge. The entire city skyline unfolds as you eat.
Dock at Cais do Sodré. Walk 10 min to Bairro Alto — bars until 4am. Then: Lux Frágil or Ministerium. Minibus pickup or Uber transfer back to the villa.
Alternative: cliff-top dinner at Furnas do Guincho or private chef at the villa, then transfer to Lisbon for the night out.
Pros & Cons
Pros — Countryside
  • Shortest flights from Germany; London is the natural hub for UK + US participants
  • Friday dinner in London is a strong, buzzing opener to the weekend
  • Country manor is atmospheric — stone walls, fireplaces, gardens, games room
  • Clay shooting is quintessentially British and a guaranteed talking point
  • Whisky tasting + house party is intimate, refined, and high-quality
Cons — Countryside
  • Saturday starts with 1h45 of dead time on a minibus from London
  • Weather is a gamble — May in England could be sunshine or drizzle
  • No nightlife in the Cotswolds; evening is entirely self-made at the house
  • Two accommodations (London hotel + manor) adds cost and logistics
  • Sunday return to Heathrow is another 1h45 — tight for afternoon flights
Pros — Lisbon
  • Near-guaranteed warm weather — 22–25°C, sunshine, long golden evenings
  • One villa for both nights — no packing up, no moving, no second check-in
  • Boat dinner cruise is unique: sunset, skyline, seamless transition to the night out
  • Real nightlife — Bairro Alto + Lux Frágil is genuinely world-class
  • Estoril F1 circuit or Sintra buggies — both are exceptional signature experiences
  • Relaxed Friday BBQ sundowner at the villa — no pressure, warm evening, pool
Cons — Lisbon
  • Longer flights from Germany (~3h); London-based participants need to fly
  • Saturday evening has more moving parts — boat, dock, bars, late return
  • Late-night return from Lisbon to the Cascais villa is easy — Bolt/Uber available 24/7
  • The Lisbon night out is the one exception to the lean logistics principle
  • Sunday may be rough after a late night — though the short airport transfer helps
